Well, I don't really have anything new to report, but it seems like forever since my last post. February is my favorite month of the year, because my birthday is on the 18th :-). I think I'm one of the few who actually enjoys celebrating their birthday and getting another year older. This year is even more special for me because it is my last year in my 20's, and it is the last birthday before my baby boy comes into this world :-). So many new and exciting adventures lay ahead this year for my husband and I and I can't wait to tackle them all. But first, the deep question for this week is, what am I going to do to celebrate my 29th year?!?!? Normally I have the whole week planned out (I am a tad distracted and a little behind this year though, lol). Oh, decisions, decisions. I do know for sure I want to have a getaway weekend with the hubby since we will not have much more alone time soon, I just have to decide where to go and what to do.
Yesterday was Valentine's Day, and usually my husband and I skip celebrating V-day in exchange for doing something extra special for my birthday. This year was no different, however; I came home from work to find that my sweet mother had made us a couple batches of chocolate chip cookies with some Valentine's Day cards attached. You might be thinking, this isn't so special, but one of the cards was for our unborn child and the letter my mom wrote to her grandson was so sweet and touching I couldn't help but shed a few tears (probably doesn't help that my pregnancy hormones make me cry over everything, lol). I wish I had the card here with me so I could post exactly what she wrote. I will have to add it later.
Tonight kicks off our 6 week course of child-birthing classes. I really have no idea what to expect and am looking forward to learning about what I will be going through soon. Part of me is terrified that they are going to scare the beegeebies out of me, but the other part of me likes to be prepared and know what I'm getting into to. We shall see, we shall see!!! Although my belly is not ginormous by any means, I have definitely grown over the last couple of weeks and it has become a chore to move around and get up from a laying or sitting position. The thought of 2 1/2 more months of this only getting worse is not so fun. I am immensely enjoying being pregnant though. I love to feel my son move around inside of me and know that he is all right and growing and developing like he should. We still haven't picked a name yet, but our top three choices right now are Wyatt, Pierce, and Jaxon; all three I am perfectly happy with, so now it's up to my husband to choose :-). Another excellent reason I like February this year is that my first baby shower is on the 26th! Yay! Baby stuff is so much fun, especially when it's stuff you get to keep :-). I look forward to what the rest of this month brings and the last couple of months before baby boy is born.
